How does the built-in filter system works?

Our new chat moderation filter is designed to detect and manage inappropriate language effectively. Here’s a breakdown of its key features and functionalities:

  • Detection of Inappropriate Language: The filter scans chat messages for any language deemed inappropriate or harmful. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive words, slurs, and other forms of abusive language.
  • Strike System: Every time the filter detects inappropriate language in your messages, you will receive a strike. The strike system operates as follows:
    • First Offense: You receive your first strike.
    • Second Offense: You receive a second strike, resulting in you being muted.
    • Third Offense: You receive a third strike, resulting in you being kicked from the session.
  • Strike Duration: Strikes are temporary. They last for a maximum of one hour after you leave your last session. This means if you leave the game and come back after an hour, your strike count will reset to zero.

Why This Matters

Maintaining a respectful and inclusive chat environment is crucial for fostering healthy interactions among our users. The new moderation filter aims to:

  • Promote Respectful Communication: By discouraging the use of inappropriate language, we encourage users to engage in respectful and constructive conversations.
  • Protect Users: The filter helps protect users from harassment and abusive language, ensuring that everyone feels safe and valued in our community.
  • Enhance User Experience: A moderated chat environment enhances the overall user experience by reducing instances of disruptive behavior.
